The Products of Creative Writing... are something you have to give "Birth" to. They begin as something abstract and intangible that you want to bring to life in the written word. They gestate within you, growing and evolving into more and more complex word patterns, sentences and paragraphs. Sometimes you really have to think hard to bring the words to the surface... and then at other times, they just simply seem to "come to you". For me, writing is an intentional, wishful, creative process. For it to "happen for me", I have to eat, sleep, and breathe the process without many interruptions. It, for the most part, has to occupy my entire consciousness. I have to literally live like a hermit... Undisturbed. |
